Flowers, Flowers & more Flowers!

This one I just made yesterday... Doesn't even have a clip on the back yet!
I saw the cute idea on Rhonna Farrer's blog and she even has a step by step tutorial:
And these simple little beauties are perfect for fabric scraps! One of my favorite blogs Blue Cricket Design posted a easy peasy tutorial: http://www.bluecricketdesign.net/2010/03/blooming-fabric-flower-pin.html

Right now just about everyone that I know who is preggo is having a girl... So, since I have all boys... and LOVE being a mother of boys! However, Carter absolutely hates it when I try one of these on him to see how it looks! It usually ends up costing me four quarters to get him to do it! So, the only time I get to make girly things is for other people!!! Lately I have been making a lot of flowers to make hair clips for babies! I have been asked if I sell them. No, I do not. But, I will share with you where I got my inspiration!

That Face!

Monday we set the trailer up for the first time of the year! For family night we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows to make s'mores (Or i should say everyone did... but me... I was in bed with a bad sinus infection...). James and the boys decided to sleep out in the trailer and when i went out to tell them good night this is how i found Carter... The remains of his night still on his face! I got the face washed - but, didn't think to check the hands! When i was getting him in the shower this morning i saw the hands....

Another Obsession!

My Sister-in-law Kristin gave me this cute plate to hold jewelry last week when she was here. She had bought it at a local little bazaar. I LOVED it!

Then she gave this one to my Mother-in-law that she had made!!! she had bought the cute little plate at an antique shop... So, then all the people that I knew that would love them started running through my mind! AND it is soooo simple and easy!

You need a really good strong epoxy. I found mine at Walmart and It cost less than $4!
I got some cute plates at the Dollar Store
TjMaxx
The DI. I got these for my nieces!
I bought some bases at the Dollar Store and the DI.
You simply put the epoxy on the bases and let set until dry!
Then you turn around and laugh at the little man who is keeping you company!
And Voila!!! You have cute little cake plates! I made this one for $2! I am going to take them around with treats for the ladies that I go and visit teach! Seriously people $2!!!
I made this one for my Mom! It has a cute little dessert dish on the bottom of it! So, my Mother-in-law got all excited after she saw what I had made and we went back to the DI and found some really cute antique plates that she is going to make some with! My Nieces turned out soooo cute and dainty... But, I forgot to take a picture of them before I sent them back to Idaho with my Mom... They had cute little brass candlesticks as the bases! There are so many things that you could use! I have even seen people use candy dishes! So, now I have a little collection of cute plates and bases that I am collecting to make more.....

Sunday Walk

I Love how McKay has his hand on Carter's back...

Sunday was a beautiful day and the boys wanted to go on an adventure! Plus, they both had new whistles that they were blowing in the house & driving everyone crazy! So, we packed a bag of snacks and their whistles and walked a walking path by our house that follows a little canal. No rules (other than don't throw your brother into the water), no one telling them to be quiet! They just wandered, threw rocks, and played! We took our time... I kept hearing my Dads voice in my head saying "Let them go... let them be boys! There isn't anything they can hurt"! So, we did just that and had a wonderful time!

Soccer

Well, we froze through a season of Utah soccer!!! Grandma came this last weekend to watch McKay's last two games. Now on to a season of Baseball!

Finger Puppets!

Seriously.... I think these are sooo dang cute! And i have a pile of left over felt from a felt fort i am making my boys... My scraps would be perfect to make these!!! You can buy the pattern to make them for $3 at
the pattern includes 18 different animals! They would be a perfect addition to the boys church bag! Well, maybe Carter's! McKay might be a little to old and Cannon would just try and eat the eyes! She also has some really cute kids car travel games that you can print off - check out "the idea room" blog for the patterns!

Uncle Brett

Listening to Carter's stories
Kisses

Dear Uncle Brett, I don't know if you will ever be able to understand how much the boys love you! I love when you walk in the door and they all come flying from wherever they are to see you. When Cannon hears your voice he goes crazy saying "Bett" over and over again! The reason they love you so much is because of the genuine love that you show them.
You always take time for Carter's stories, give him a "special" fifty cent piece when he is sad & hurt, you love and mug on Cannon & give McKay the attention that a little boy craves from an uncle that he thinks is sooooo cool! When we do McKay's hair in the morning he tells me "I want it just like Brett's"! I know they jump all over you & can get a little loud and crazy... and it's not always the most pleasant experience to kiss a baby with a runny nose... But, you do it anyway! They love you! And I love you for many reasons... but, it always means a lot to a mother when someone shows her children such love! Thank you!

Broiled Tilapia With Cheesy Topping

This has become one of our families favorite recipes (meaning James & I Love it and our kids will eat it to!)... and I have had a few requests for the recipe. The recipe actually calls for halibut. But, halibut can be pretty expensive... And after trying it on halibut and then tilapia... I actually liked the tilapia better. I think that you could use it on any white fish. At Walmart right now you can get a 4lb bag of individually frozen fillets for $10 - with about 18- 20 fillets/bag. It makes it really easy to just pull out what you need.

Recipe:

1/2 C. grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 C. butter - softened

2 tbs. mayonnaise

3 tbs. finely chopped green onions

1/4 tsp. salt

2 tbsp. lemon juice

tilapia

Broil fish until it flakes. Sprinkle on the 2 tablespoons lemon juice. Stir together the remaining ingredients and spread the cheese mixture over the fish. Broil until lightly browned. Watch closely because it will brown quickly! Cheese mixture serves 6-7 fillets. Enjoy!

Summer Bags!

So, you may experience the same summer issue I have... My beach/pool bag never seems to be big enough! AND now that I have three little men and all that goes along with them... yeah it gets a little crazy watching all the Wall girls trying to haul their stuff around at Redfish Lake! I saw this tutorial over at a blog I Like: Be Different... Act Normal... & thought that I would share! She shows her son sitting in the bag! If her son can fit into it then all my towels should be able to!

Oh What A Night....

Someone was up all night... we had to go on a drive to get you to sleep... I had to give you two baths in the night to get you to calm down... spent all night rocking you in my arms... thinking about how grateful that I am to have you in my life little man. Can't wait to see this little smile again when you are feeling better.
